Personal Safety Apps

When most of us think of personal safety devices, we picture mace or alarm buttons that will make noise and scare off an attacker.  Well, it's 2012 and there's an app for that now. My favorite web site for the less-than-tech-savvy  reviewed several personal safety apps that send for help. Take a look at this Techlicious article that explains how location-based features on our GPS-enabled devices, such as smart phones and tablets, can be used for safety as well.
